Abstract:The globalization endows the cross-cultural communication with extreme importance. With economic globalization, commercial contacts among different cultures are bound to be increasingly substantial. Gradually, negotiation has become a universal issue that arouses concern among people in different countries and effective intercultural communication has become an indispensable part of success in international business activities. Actually negotiation is a special communication task. It occurs when two or more parties have common interests and therefore a reason to work together, but who also have conflicts about their goals and how to accomplish them. This article intends to go into some essential nonverbal differences between the United States and China as well as their impacts of negotiation and solutions thereto.
