Abstract:This thesis focuses on the pragmatic failures in the international business negotiation. It gives definitions to the pragmatic failures and business negotiation interpreting in the international business negotiation. Through researching, it cultivates three important reasons to explain pragmatic failures: the first of all is cultural difference, the second is incomplete English teaching system, and the last is weak language and non-language knowledge of an interpreter. It is of no doubt that the interpreters should pay more attention to the negative impacts of current interpreters’ pragmatic failures which generally appear in business negotiation. Here, the author also combines the research results with the training target of business English major to give practical suggestions on study to readers to avoid pragmatic failures in business negotiation: learners should learn wide foreign cultural knowledge, cultivate the pragmatic competence in oneself, and comply with the politeness principle. 摘要:本文旨在研究国际商务谈判中产生的语用失误,叙述了商务英语谈判口译和语用失误的定义,提出了现今口译员在商务谈判中普遍存在的语用失误产生的三个重要原因:文化差异、不成熟的英语教育系统、不扎实的语言和非语言知识。无疑,口译者也应该多注意商务谈判口译中语用失误所带来负面影响,才能够更加地重视语用失误。论文中,作者还结合商务英语专业的培养目标,提出了与商务英语学习有关的实际性的启示:学习者应该学习广泛的外国文化知识,自身培养语用能力和遵守礼貌原则,从而使读者能够尽量避免商务谈判口译中产生的语用失误。 关键词:商务谈判;语用失误;口译员 |
