Abstract As words with Chinese characteristics reflect the unique cultural phenomena, the translations of words with Chinese characteristics have no precedent to follow. Therefore, it is difficult to translate these words. Considering China’s current situations, this paper starts from analysis on the features and categories of words with Chinese characteristics. Then it studies the advantages and disadvantages of some translation strategies by giving lots of examples and tries to find some proper strategies to translate these words. It also points out that translators have to adapt to suitable strategies accurately conveying the real meaning of words with Chinese characteristics based on comprehensively understanding them.

摘要：中国特色词汇反映了具有中国特色的事物，其翻译没有先例可循。因而准确翻译这类词汇较为困难。本文作者首先结合当今中国现状，对中国特色词汇的分类及特点的进行简单的介绍，并通过大量的实例分析，探讨某些中国特色词汇翻译策略的优缺点，以试图寻找翻译中国特色词汇的恰当策略，指出翻译工作者应在充分理解中国特色词汇的基础上采用适当的方法来准确传达中国特色词汇的意味。
