Abstract:Language learning is an important part of culture. Learning a foreign language includes learning a new culture. It should be a funny and interesting process. However, traditional Chinese-English teaching is based on grammar and knowledge learning. Teachers have tended to pay too much attention to the correctness of the language. Therefore many students lose their interest in learning English. They may get good marks in tests but their ability to use English is not satisfied; especially their listening and talking skills. All the jobs about the wit depend on interest, so does English teaching. Interest is the strongest motive force to learn English well. With the reform of the new English courses, the problem that the teacher cannot arouse the students’ interest in learning English is nearly solved by the well-designed activities. If the class activities are well designed, the students will be eager to learn English. Then their interest of learning English will be surely motivated.

摘  要:语言是文化的一个重要组成部分,学习一门外语就包括学习一种新的文化,这个过程应该是很有趣的。然而,传统的教学方法是以语法为中心,老师的注意力大都转向英语表达是否正确,这样许多学生都失去了学习英语的兴趣。这些学生在考试中可能会取得好成绩,但是他们应用英语的能力就不太好,特别是听力和会话。所有工作的智慧来源于兴趣,英语教学也是如此。兴趣是学习英语最强大的动力。随着英语课程的改革,老师不能激发学生学习英语兴趣的问题慢慢解决了,如果课堂积极性好,那么学生将会渴望学习英语,他们学习英语的兴趣也会得到很大的激发。
