Abstract:With the development of information technology in the field of education, multimedia has been widely used in English teaching and has occupied definite position. This study was carried out with quantitative method to investigate the current overall situations of multimedia–assisted English teaching in a junior middle school based on the theories of cognitive psychology and constructivism. The findings of the study are: 1.the popularizing rate of multimedia in frontier areas is comparatively high, and it is popular with most of teachers and students; 2.most of students can adapt to multimedia-assisted English teaching and learning and benefit from it; 3.teachers’ ability to deal with the Multimedia needs to be improved; 4.most of teachers and students are in favor of the combination of traditional teaching mode with multimedia-assisted teaching mode. It is a fact that multimedia is only an assisted teaching tool, so teachers should apply multimedia in English classes appropriately and effectively. 中文摘要:随着信息技术在教育领域的不断发展,多媒体已被普遍应用于英语教学,并且占据了一定的地位。本文旨在了解多媒体在初中英语教学中的使用情况以及存在的主要问题。作者以建构主义和认知心理学为理论依据,采用调查问卷方法对石屏县第一中学的12位教师和120名学生进行了研究,研究结果显示:1.多媒体在边疆中学的普及率较高,而且受到广大师生的欢迎;2.大部分学生能够适应多媒体教学并且能从中受益;3.教师对多媒体的实际操作能力不足,从一定程度上给多媒体辅助英语教学带来了负面影响;4.大多数教师和学生都倾向于综合运用多媒体与传统教学相结合的教学模式。本研究对中学英语教师的启示是:多媒体只是教学的辅助工具,教师应该合理利用多媒体,并能适当调整教学方法,使多媒体真正发挥应有的作用。 关键词:多媒体辅助英语教学;初中英语教学;传统教学法 |
