Abstract: Many kinds of rhetorical devices are used in advertisements among which pun is one of the most important figures of speech in English advertisement. Based on existing researches, the author put forward five strategies of translation of puns in English advertisements: preservation, creation, compensation, explication and omission, aiming at discussing with the broad masses of English learners and making the translation closer to the intention of the AD designers. 摘要:广告创作人员充分利用各种修辞手段来增强广告的说服力,双关就是运用最为广泛的修辞之一。本文通过总结已有的相关研究,提出了广告双关语翻译的五种策略:保留、再造、补偿、解释说明以及省略不译,旨在与广大英语学习者共同探讨,使双关语的翻译更贴合广告创作者的意图。 关键词:广告;双关;翻译;策略;关联理论 |
