Abstract:Learning strategy is a series of effective learning rules, approaches, skills and regulative ways. Using learning strategies properly can help learners acquire language effectively. Vocabulary learning is prominent for English learning, because vocabulary constitutes the basic building blocks of English sentences. In the process of vocabulary learning, effective use of vocabulary learning strategies increases not only the vocabulary learning efficiency, but the quality of English leaning. So it is necessary to explore vocabulary learning strategies to help students learn English vocabulary more effectively. This study made a survey on 150 junior middle school students in Mengzi NO.2 middle school, Yunnan province. It aims at finding the students’ attitude towards English vocabulary learning and the present situation of using vocabulary learning strategies. Based on the results, the writer found that there were some problems existing in the process of leaning English vocabulary, for example, the students were not highly motivated in vocabulary learning; they did not use vocabulary learning strategies widely; they learned vocabulary without context; and they did not make use of English learning resources. This study emphasizes that using constructivism to guide English vocabulary learning is necessary. From the perspective of constructivism, the writer put forward three vocabulary learning strategies to promote the development of individualized vocabulary methods and the vocabulary learning ability on the part of students. 摘要:学习策略是学习者在学习活动中有效的学习规则、方法、技巧及调控方式,恰当地运用学习策略有助于语言习得。词汇是语言的基本单位,它对于第二语言习得至关重要,在词汇的学习过程中,有效运用词汇学习策略能在提高词汇学习效率的同时,提高英语学习质量,因此探索学习策略帮助学生们有效地学习词汇尤为必要。本研究对云南蒙自二中的150名初中生做了调查,旨在了解这些学生的英语词汇学习态度和词汇学习策略使用状况。通过对调查结果的分析,发现初中生在英语词汇学习过程中存在诸如词汇学习积极性不高、没有广泛应用词汇学习策略、较少使用词汇交流、没有充分利用资源等问题。针对初中生英语词汇学习策略运用的现状和英语词汇学习的特点,结合建构主义理论,本研究指出以建构主义理论指导初中英语词汇学习,并从建构主义的视角,提出直观化词汇学习、联系式词汇学习、情景式词汇学习等英语词汇学习策略。 关键词:英语词汇学习;建构主义;学习策略 |
