Abstract:Reading is an important way to get information. It’s hard for us to imagine what life would be like if we could not read. We have to read many things each day---road signs, advertisements, food labels, mails, questionnaires and newspapers. Being able to read is critical in contemporary life. Reading can provide chances of employment, increase educational opportunities, promote social adjustment and offer entertainment. No doubt our reading ability is one of the most important assets in our life. But not all the people have good reading comprehension, because there are many factors affecting reading comprehension. Then what are the factors affecting reading comprehension? This paper will discuss this question.
