Abstract:The Copula-Predicative Structure of English is an indispensable part of English grammar. It would have some significant value in advancing the research of English grammar on the basis of clearly answering the questions such as: “what is copula? What is the predicative? Which words and phrases can act as the predicative? ” This thesis analyzes the definition, usage and classification of copulas and the definition and usage of the predicative with examples and discusses the omission of copulas and the predicative. It also offers certain significant research values for the study of the Copula-Predicative Structure of English. Key words copula; predicative; English
摘要:英语系动词的表语结构是英语语法中不可缺少的一部分，回答清楚了什么是系动词、什么是表语、英语系动词分几种类型以及充当表语的词和短语有哪些这些问题在推进英语语法研究方面具有重要的研究价值。该文在总结前人研究的基础上，着重分析了系动词的定义，用法及分类，表语的定义及用法并举例说明，由此探讨了英语中系动词和表语的省略问题，为英语语法中系动词的表语结构研究提供了某些重要的研究价值。 关键词 系动词 表语 英语 |
