Abstract: Fuzziness is one of the basic features of poetry, especially in Chinese classical poetry. The translation of fuzzy images is a difficult task because of the cultural differences between Chinese and English. The Story of the Stone, as a condensation of Chinese traditional culture, embodies various form genres, among which poetry plays an important part. This paper mainly deals with the classification of fuzzy images of poetry in The Story of the Stone and the possible strategies in translation.

摘要：模糊性是诗歌的基本特征之一，中国古典诗歌尤以其模糊语言的广泛使用而散发着无穷的艺术魅力，而中英文化差异对诗歌模糊意象的传译造成了一定困难。我国著名古典小说《红楼梦》中的诗歌篇篇精品，意象丰富。本文拟对《红楼梦》中诗歌中的模糊意象分类，并在此基础上对模糊意象在译语中的再现策略进行初步探讨。
