Abstract: Comparison is a process and a way of thinking in which people understand the objective world and define the similarities and differences between things. Therefore comparative sentences arise in language expressions. However, it is rather difficult to translate English comparatives, and errors are often made in the process. This paper introduces how to understand the general and special usages of English comparatives and discusses in details the ways to translate the English comparatives from the perspective of rhetoric. And it is of great necessity to comprehend the hidden or concealed meanings and the rhetoric art of the source language, so that we can render the version coherent, retain the original rhetoric characteristics and revive the vivid image of the original sentence.

摘要：比较是人们认识客观世界，确定事物同异关系的思维过程和方法，反映到语言表达中就出现了比较句式。然而，英语比较级的翻译较难，当我们做关于英语比较级的翻译时，我们经常会犯错。本文阐述了英语比较级的一般用法和特殊用法，并从修辞角度详细探讨了英语比较级的翻译技巧,并指出只有由表及里，领会其中蕴含的意义和逻辑关系，译文才能文从字顺，保持原文的修辞色彩，再现原文的形象。
