Abstract: Writing is one of the four basic skills in learning English, and its status and function is widely recognized. Writing skills can be the ticket to better college grades and greater academic achievement. The new syllabus stresses that middle school education should cultivate students’ comprehensive abilities in listening, speaking and reading which further strengthen writing skill.
