Abstract:Fuzziness is one of the basic features of various languages, especially in Chinese. Chinese literary works command a lot of fuzzy expressions in purpose of improving the expressive force and creating the poetic imagery. Therefore, in the process of translating Chinese literary works, it is of great importance to translate the language fuzziness appropriately in them. This study will firstly analyze the formation of language fuzziness in literary works and their classifications. Then this thesis studies the skills of translating language fuzziness from the perspective of translation aesthetics will be researched in an attempt to translate the image, beauty and emotions of original texts and improve the quality of translation. This thesis aims to study language fuzziness in Chinese literary works with methods of analyzing, comparison and synthesis. In the end, it is going to summarize the pervious researches on the translation of language fuzziness of scholars and come up with two methods of translation. These methods are translating the language fuzziness by imitating source language and translating the language fuzziness by imitating target language, which are raised on the base of translation aesthetic researches.
