Abstract：Language is the carrier of culture. Only when the culture of the target language is well understood can we use the language in an accurate and appropriate way. The significance of cultural awareness in foreign language learning is an issue that earns hot discussion in the both fields of linguistics and instructional science. Being different from others, the observing angle in this paper lies in what is the role of cultural awareness in English learning.
