Abstract:This paper focuses on the topic of patriarchal oppression on women in Hardy’s masterpiece Tess of the d’Urbervilles. Nature and women are two themes of Hardy’s works. Hardy not only criticizes the patriarchal thought, but also shapes a new female image, Tess, who makes continuous fights in patriarchal society. Ecofeminism is the product of both female movement and ecological movement. Ecofeminists believe that there is close relationship between women and nature as well as the oppression of women and the domination of nature, so ecofeminists oppose to men’s domination of women and appeal to establish an egalitarian society where men are compatible with women and nature. Regarding patriarchal oppression as the basic clue, the author of this paper makes an analysis on this novel by employing ecofeminist perspective: opposing western dualism, androcentrism and patriarchal society, the author aims at unveiling women’s miserable fate in Victorian Age and protruding the awakening of female consciousness.

摘要：本文运用生态女性主义反对父权压迫的观点解读哈代名著《德伯家的苔丝》。自然和女性是哈代作品中的两大主题。哈代不仅批判了二元思维模式的父权制思想，同时也塑造了苔丝在父权社会中不断抗争的新女性形象。生态女性主义是女权运动和生态运动相结合的产物,生态女性主义者相信女人和自然之间有很大的亲近性,认为男人统治妇女与人类统治自然之间的关系紧密，所以生态女性主义者反对男性对女性的支配，提倡建立男女平等，人与自然和谐发展的社会。本文以父权压迫为主线，用生态女性主义批判西方社会的二元论，反对男性中心论以及社会家长制的观点解读《徳伯家的苔丝》，旨在揭示维多利亚时期女性受压迫的悲惨命运，凸显生态女性意识的觉醒。
