Abstract:In order to improve college students’ oral English ability, morning reading carried out in Zengcheng College of South China Normal University. Since the opening of the morning reading, cooperative learning method, a new learning and teaching method, is applied by the English tutors and students. So, what is the influence of the cooperative learning method on the oral English ability of non-English major students in Zengcheng College of South China Normal University? Through the questionnaire survey and an interview, the author investigates the oral English ability of 100 non-English major students of Zengcheng College of South China Normal University and analyzes the result. This study shows that the cooperative learning method has significant influence on improving the English oral ability. Cooperative learning method can provide a good and relaxing atmosphere; can enhance students’ confidence, initiative and application ability of oral English. Based on this, the author advocates that the non-English major students can use the cooperative learning method to improve their oral English ability. The author also hopes that the research can bring some new revelation in the teaching of oral English in the future. 摘要:xx学院开展英语晨读活动,以提高学生英语口语能力。自开展晨读活动以来,合作学习作为一种全新的学习和教学观念一直被英语口语小老师和非英语专业学生贯彻实施着。那么,合作学习的方法对华xx学院的非英语专业学生的英语口语能力有多大的的影响? 本文通过问卷调查和访谈的形式,对xx学院非英语专业100名大学生进行了调查研究和分析。 研究表明,合作学习方法对非英语专业学习者的英语口语能力有显著影响,其中是以积极的影响为主。合作学习能够为非英语专业的学生提供良好和轻松的学习氛围,能增强学生的自信心、积极主动性和应用英语口语能力等。基于此,笔者提倡非英语专业的学生使用合作学习方法以提高英语口语能力,并希望能给未来的英语口语教学带来一些启示。 关键词:晨读活动;合作学习;非英语专业学生;英语口语能力
