The current situation in vocabulary acquisition among junior high school students shows that the traditional methods to teach English vocabulary such as learn by rote or by word lists is surely to be improved and the new teaching approaches should be adopted in vocabulary teaching. Besides that, teachers should try their best to consolidate and enlarge their students' vocabulary learning through effective teaching methods(Intuitive method, Interpretation method and Context-based teaching method). Without revision, students can not grasp or absorb the new words in a real sense. And it is very essential to make both teachers and students aware that integrated teaching methods are sure to play a vital role in their English teaching and learning. The progress needs both students' and teachers' efforts. Only in this, can students achieve their goal of improving their language ability definitely. |
