ABSTRACT:This present paper is an analysis on the Status Quo and Countermeasures for teaching English to Young Learners. English, as the only one of primary international language today, plays an important role in the international communication. In order to bring up people with international competitive ability, developing the teaching English to Young Learners is the need for the times, the social development and the parents’ expectation. It is easier for children to study and master the English at their early ages，so it is the hot issue to teach English to young learners. However, there exists many problems, for example, children should study English at their ages but the kindergartners haven’t set up English class; many teachers are in low teaching level; it lack English environment; teaching facility are simple and so on. How to solve these problems? There would be a few solutions in this study, such as advising more kindergarten to set up English course; training professional teacher to young learners; perfecting education environment; being diversification of teaching facility and so on.

摘  要:本论文是对四川省眉山市东坡区幼儿英语教育的现状及对策进行分析。英语作为世界通用语言在国际交往中扮演着十分重要的角色。为了培养具有国际性竞争人才，幼儿英语教育是时代和社会发展的需要，也是家长的期待。儿童时期，孩子更容易学习英语、掌握英语，因此幼儿英语教育成为当今社会一大热点。但幼儿英语教育仍存在许多问题，如：孩子需要学习英语课程但是幼儿园却没有开设此门课程；教师水平低；教学环境的缺乏；教学手段单一等等。怎么解决这些问题？论文中提到一些措施，如：要求幼儿园开设英语课程；培训英语教师；完善教学环境；丰富教学手段等。
