Abstract:Task-based instruction is the latest development form of communicative language teaching method, which is happening worldwide in the recent few decades. This new teaching method provides opportunities to the students for they to pick up the language through the tasks. In the learning process, the students’ attention will be focused on the meaning rather than the language form. That is, Task-based instruction advocates “learning by doing ”. This new teaching method has been popular in Europe, American and other districts for a few decades. And In China, the newly issued curriculum requires the task-based instruction to be used in the teaching of English in the middle schools in China. And much study has been done in this field. In this paper, the author is going to introduce the application of task-based instruction in the teaching of English in the middle school. And an experiment was made in Chengnan middle school in Chaozhou. 102 students from two classes are treated as the subjects of the experiment. The results show that task-based instruction can help the students to improve their English level as well as the score in the English examination. It also helps to arouse the students’ interest in learning English. Key words: task-based instruction; middle school;English teaching and learning
中文摘要:任务型教学法是交际教学法的最新发展形态。最近的几十年中,世界各地都已经开始使用任务型教学法。这种新的教学方法提供学生充分的机会,让他们在完成任务的过程当中自然地获得语言。在任务型教学法的学习过程中,学生的注意力集中在语言的意义而不是语言的形式。也就是说,任务型教学法提倡“从完成任务中学习”。近几十年来,这种教学法在欧洲,美洲以及其他地区越来越流行。在中国,新颁布的课程标准要求在中学英语教学中采用任务型教学法。许多此领域的相关研究也已经展开,本论文作者将介绍任务型教学法在初中英语教学中的应用。作者在潮州城南中学做了一个教学实验,其中来自两个班级的102位同学为本次实验对象。实验结果显示任务型教学法不但提高了学生的考试分数,也提高了他们的英语水平,同时任务型教学法也提高了学生学习英语的兴趣。 关键词:任务型教学法;中学;英语教学 |
