Abstract:Learning motivation plays a vital role in English learning. In foreign language learning process, students with a strong motivation can achieve better results than those who have a week motivation. Undeniably, motivation is a key factor for the success or failure in learning English. So the research on students’ learning motivations is of great significance. Teachers should try to understand the factors that affect students’ motivations in learning English, and then try to stimulate and nurture students’ motivations to learn English, with the ultimate teaching goal of improving students’ performance in the use of English. Based upon the survey in this thesis, students’ motivations in English learning should be stimulated and cultivated in two sides, intrinsic motivation and extrinsic motivation. In intrinsic motivation, such teaching strategies as stimulating students’ interest in English learning, helping students to set proper goals and helping students to raise their self-efficacy are suggested.In extrinsic motivation, such teaching strategies as showing positive expectations to students and creating a good classroom atmosphere and a good social environment for students are proposed. 中文摘要:学习动机对学生的英语学习起着至关重要的作用,在外语学习过程中,具有强烈动机的学生比缺乏内在动机的学生更能取得较好成绩。不可否认,动机是学习成败的关键因素。因此,对学生学习动机的研究意义重大。教师应该努力了解影响学生学习动机的因素,从而更好地激发与培养学生的学习动机,进而提高学生的学习成绩。 在本论文中,通过调查分析,教师应该通过内部动机和外部动机共同激发学生的英语学习动机。内动动机的激发策略有激发学生的学习兴趣,帮助学生确立合适的目标以及帮助学生提高自我效能感。而在外部动机方面,教师对学生的期望,为学生提供良好的课堂环境和社会学习环境都是重要的激发和培养学生英语学习动机的策略。 关键词: 英语学习动机;英语教学策略;激发和培养;初中生 |
