Abstract: The development of transportation means and telecommunication facilities allows more and more people to travel outside their countries for the purpose of relaxation. C-E translation of names of scenic spots plays a crucial role in understanding the scenic spots. This paper analyzes the importance of C-E translation of scenic spots as well as the existing problems. While emphasizing the application of the following strategies: transliteration, literal translation, addition, and adoption in translating the names of scenic spots, this thesis concludes that all the translation should provide the most natural, smooth and original rendering, thus enhancing the images of scenic spots and promoting the development of tourism.

摘要：交通工具的发展和通讯设施的进步使得越来越多的人们得以出国旅游来调适身心。旅游景点名称的英译在人们对景点的认识中起着至关重要的作用。本文分析了景点名称英译的重要性，以及目前存在的主要问题并通过分析音译，直译，意译，增加法，借用法等翻译策略在景点名称英译中的应用，得出翻译时应译出最自然，最贴近原文的译文从而提升旅游景点形象，促进旅游业的进一步发展。
