Abstract: The paper overviews briefly the development of trademark translation and introduce some methods and theories often used in trademark translation. Based on Nida’s functional equivalence, the paper makes a further study on the translation of cosmetic trademark and analyzes the requirements of functional equivalence and its guiding significance. Some strategies illustrated by samples are proposed on cosmetic trademark translation. It is hoped that this paper will give a hint that makes them pay attention to the study of trademark translation of some specific products and help cosmetic makers in naming their products.

摘要:本文对近年来商标翻译的发展进行了回顾,介绍了一些商标翻译常用的方法以及理论依据。并且以奈达的功能对等理论为指导,对化妆品商标翻译作进一步的研究,分析了功能对等理论的基本要求,给出了化妆品商标翻译的具体方法并且引入一些化妆品翻译实例来支持这些翻译方法。本文希望通过具体的论述能让学者关注具体的某一类商品的商标翻译,并对化妆品企业商标的命名有一定的借鉴意义。
