Abstract: Wilde’s aestheticism believes that beauty, which has its absolute value, is supreme, and art itself is right a purpose. According to him, people should search for beauty in life. Wilde has created the image of dandy successfully in his four comedies. This paper tries to analyze these dandies’ aesthetic and ideological pursuit through the descriptions of their lifestyles, language expressions and values. Dandies indulge themselves in pleasures and profligate life, having their own values of life and transfer their pursuit of beauty from artistic fields to daily life. From this perspective, they are active practitioners of aestheticism of life. Oscar Wilde’s pursuit of art can be seen from these dandies because Wilde himself is a model of them. This thesis attempts to help readers have a deeper understanding of aestheticism of Oscar Wilde-style by exploring the characteristics of dandies in his comedies.

摘要： 王尔德式的唯美主义认为美式至高无上的，具有绝对价值，艺术本身就是目的。他认为人们应该在生活中寻找美。王尔德在其四部喜剧中都成功塑造了花花公子的形象，本文通过阐述这些花花公子的生活方式、语言表达和价值观等方面分析他们的审美和思想追求。花花公子们纵情享乐、挥霍生活，有自己的价值观，并将对美的追求从艺术领域转移到日常生活中去，是唯美主义生活的积极实践者。而王尔德本身是这些花花公子的典型，所以从他们身上可以看出王尔德对艺术的追求。本论文试图通过探讨其作品中花花公子的特点，帮助读者对王尔德式的唯美主义有更深的体会和了解。
