Abstract: International political language is an important carrier of international politics. It can reflect a country's foreign policy and defend the interests of the state. In politic news, the political euphemistic expressions used by politicians and diplomats have greatly produced both gentle and strong effect. Based on this content, the author started from introducing the definition, characteristics and necessity of euphemism, and then extended to the functions of political euphemism. Translation of political euphemism is the main part to be discussed. Key words: euphemistic expression; international politics; pragmatic function; translation strategies
摘要：国际政治语言是国际政治活动的重要载体，是体现国家对外政策和捍卫国家利益的语言工具。国际新闻中的政治委婉语的表达使得政治家或外交官达到措词犀利而又不失文雅谨慎的语言效果。本文从委婉语的定义，特点及必要性出发，逐步延伸至政治委婉语功能的范畴，着重研究了政治委婉语的功能及翻译技巧。对政治委婉语的研究可以更准确的把握国内外政治事件的本质，从而更加充分地了解我们所处的这个复杂、多变的社会环境。 关键词: 委婉表达；国际政治；实用功能；翻译技巧 |
