Abstract:Modern society is a commercial society, and business operations are extremely prosperous. With the development of Commercialization and the enhancement of legal consciousness, the business contract has becoming one of the most important and authoritative testimonials in our daily commercial activity. The paper will focus on the function of lexical cohesion in business contracts. It aims to reveal that Halliday’s lexical cohesion theory has an important role in making the business contract more formal, solemn and explicit, especially the theory reiteration. I hope that we can master the occurring and understanding mechanism better of the business contract, and then provide the powerful theoretical direction to practical applying.

中文摘要:现代社会是商业化社会，商业活动十分繁荣。随着世界商业化的发展和人们法律意识的增强，商务合同成为了人们商务活动中必不可少的法律依据和保护所有权益的工具。商务合同是一种契约文体,行文庄重严肃,条理清楚,语言严谨周密。本课题涉及的主要内容是结合韩礼德的词汇衔接理论的两个主要分类重述和搭配来分析这一理论在商务合同中的功能。词汇衔接在商务合同文本中被广泛应用，本论文结合文本实例着重分析重述的四个分类：重复，同义词或近义词，上下义关系和广义词，证明词汇衔接理论在商务合同中起到使合同文本中心更明确，更能体现它的正式性和严肃性的作用。此外，本研究期望通过实例分析，体现词汇衔接在商务合同中的应用及其优点。
