Abstract: Sexual discrimination more or less exists in different social systems and countries . As a product of social development, language comes from and reflects the society. And sexual discrimination is surely reflected in language as a common social phenomenon. Sexual discrimination in language is language sexism. This paper lists out various forms of sexual discrimination in the English language, analyses the historical, social and psysiological causes of such a phenomenon and summarizes some methods of eliminating sexual discrimination in the English language.
