The article reveals that the frequent exchanges and increasing business trade between Sino-Japanese envoys in the Sui and Tang Dynasties promoted the spread of the Chinese characters in the Japanese islands/archipelago and accelerated the evolution of the Japanese language from ＂Wanye＂ characters to Hiragana and Katakana characters.
