Abstract:

Many literary critics have read about Fowles John's "the French Lieutenant's Woman" from the perspective of differences, but few comments and comments on the eco feminist criticism in the novel. This article is for the purpose of application of eco feminist literary criticism of the practice of novel stop new interpretation, discuss the falls of women don't ya and ecological indecent. Through the process of "the French Lieutenant's Woman" of the ecological feminist interpretation, this paper reminds Fowles of women's bondage and the double support of the situation. On the one hand, through the process in the novel shape feminist precursor Abstract Sarah and feminist sympathizers Charles, Fowles defection of the patriarchy value indecent. On the other hand, Fowles has reminded the close relationship between women and nature in the novel, and tries to reconstruct the harmonious relationship between man and nature.
