【摘要】:9﹒11事件后,美国加强了在中东地区,特别是在阿拉伯国家的公共外交攻势,以期缓释当地民众的反美情绪,提升美国形象。此次公共外交主要是通过广播媒体,即萨瓦电台和乎拉电视台展开。但是,这一努力无补于事。事实证明,布什总统执政期间,美国在阿拉伯地区的受欢迎程度不仅没有得到实质性的提升,反呈不断下降之势。本文的写作目的在于回答两个问题:萨瓦电台和乎拉电视台在逆转民意方面为什么据预期目标相去甚远?是什么因素导致了美国的形象修复工程效果不佳?
本文将通过略论萨瓦电台和乎拉电视台的节目内容和削弱它们对阿拉伯民众作用力的因素来回答这一问题。通过略论,阿拉伯语论文题目,本文认为阿拉伯民众对美国的敌视态度是美国在该地区所推行的某些外交政策和国际广播等公共外交活动自身不足共同影响的结果。美国在阿富汗和伊拉克进行的反恐战争和长期偏袒以色列等政策是主要推手,这也使得萨瓦电台和乎拉电视台的可信度受到牵连;萨瓦电台和乎拉电视台本身也存在诸多不足,若能加以修正,假以时日,或许仍有可能帮助美国恢复受损声誉。
