His works are profound and reflect the concerns of his own country - Egypt＇ s fate and future, exposing the dark social reality and reflecting the voices of people calling for social change. His novel the Beginning and the End was written in 1947. In the novel, he uses purely realistic telchniques and through the Arabic language＇ s phonetics, vocabulary, grammar, rhetoric and structure shows its unique language style.
