Abstract: “Gone with the wind” is not only a love story, but also a performance of people’s life and their psychological change before and after the American Civil War. The heroine Scarlett • O'Hara, she overturns the traditional image of women in the novel, and her beautiful appearance stimulates males’ awareness of protecting females. Besides, Scarlett has a tough and rebellious character, and does not shrink back when meeting difficulties. Therefore, this thesis focuses on Scarlett’s true and honest personality, and analyzes her rebellion against traditional customs and views of marriage, aiming to demonstrate Scarlett’s rebellion against traditional social orders, commenting on the reasons leading to the rebellion as well as its significance.

摘要：《飘》不仅是一部爱情小说，还是一部表现美国南北战争前后人们生活及心理变化的作品。女主人公斯嘉丽·奥哈拉，她颠覆了传统的女性形象，小说中她有着漂亮的容颜，这激发了男性对女性的保护意识；同时，她坚强，反叛，临危不惧的个性,让她在乱世中的表现胜过一个男人。因此,本论文着眼于斯嘉丽表现真我，毫不虚伪的个性，从她对传统习俗的反叛以及对婚姻观念的反叛来分析其性格中对传统社会秩序的叛逆，并评述这种反叛精神的成因及意义。
