The results showed that more than half of the students changed their first theme and most students are （comparatively） satisfied with their new theme. Also, there was a （comparatively） clear awareness of the research question underlying their theme. The influencing factors for theme selection included ＂research rules＂, ＂society and others＂, ＂oneself＂, ＂research and study environment＂, and ＂research practice＂.
