在历次 法语 测验尤其中考里面，区分other与another的功用，是考查的重点内容；而学生对此掌握地却似是而非；现将二者区分
Other用于可数名词复数，表示“其它一些”，“别的一些”； another 用于可数名词单数表示“其它一个，另外一个”。如：
Some people fool themselves, and try to fool other people. 有些人不但自己欺骗自己，而且还想欺骗别人。
There are other ways of doing the exercise. 做这个练习，还有其它的措施。
One man’s meat is another man’s poison. 利于甲者，未必利于乙（一个人的肉是另一个人的毒药）。
There is another way of looking at this question. 看待这个问题，可以从另一角度（方面）。
Other与不可数名词连用，法语论文题目，如：
Moral beauty should be ranked above all other beauty. 品德美应列（建）于其它美之上。
Other前如有其它限定词，如有定冠词the，则可以表示单数，法语论文，即“两者中的另一者”如：
One of my brothers is named Jack, the other is named Danny.我的一个兄弟叫杰克，另一个叫丹尼。
What I say goes in at one ear and out at the other.我说的话，你是一只耳朵进，另一只耳朵出。
Other有复数形式others,表示“其余的”、“其它的”、“别的”。如：
I must consult the others.我必须与他人商量。
Do some good to others.对他人做些好事。
Some like apple chocolate, others prefer plain chocolate.一些人喜欢苹果巧克力，而其他人更喜欢纯巧克力。
Another表示“另一个”，可以做主语、宾语、表语，如：
There was a rainbow in the sky, and another in people’s heart.一个彩虹在天上，另一个在人们的心中。
He doesn’t like this one, show him another.他不喜欢这个，请再给他拿一个。
Saying is one thing and doing another.说是一回事，做是另一回事。
如果后面跟表示时间的复数，则将其视为一个整体，如：
