Why has the long talked about carat canal not been under construction yet？ In order to explore the reasons and provide suggest ions, the carat canal ,the subsequent influences on the surrounding countries are analyzed from economic and pol itical points, focusing on the analysis of the influence on China, Thai land, Singapore. Then the reasons for Thailand not to bui ld the carat canal are ana-lyzed from various angles. The main reason is that the Thai land government does not take the initiative to promote it.
