Based on analyzing the research history of the Japanese compound verbs, through the investigation on the mainstream compound verb classification, and making a compar- ative study on several different classifications of the compound verbs, the writer found that there is no clear tendency of com- pound verb classification in Japanese teaching field, which also leads to the the inconvenience of the teaching.
