The schemata related to reading are generally classified into three types: formal schema, content schema and language schema. To apply schema theory to Japanese teaching, teachers need to help students obtain a complete idea of schema, activate their knowledge structure of schema, and comprehend the framework of a reading passage with the application of formal schema. |
