This study reviews the findings of studies on intercultural communicative competence of college students in China from the perspective of foreign language teaching. Based on the review of previous studies, this paper points out more work should be done from the following three aspects for future empirical study. First, we should put more emphasis on comparing academic hours and exploring the changing tendency of the intercultural communicative competence of students. Second, we should improve research design and adopt quasi-experimental research methods.
