They seem to be adopting poor study methods and cannot achieve desirable results. This paper holds that good rela- tionships between teachers and students, mutual understanding and arousing students＇ study interests at all levels can＇t be overemphasized. To attain this goal, various activities are designed to improve Japanese teaching as a sec- ond foreign language. So better teaching methods and teaching practices are put forward, such as emphasis of first classroom, textbook-oriented knowledge accumulation, the fascinating songs and films and TV works, understand- ing of scientific study methods etc. Moreover teaching concepts and teaching methods should be finely combined.
