1 INTRODUCTION The Cretaceous non-marine bivalve genus Nippononaia Suzuki,1941 was first described from Japan(Suzuki,1941),and subsequently reported from other regions in East Asia,e.g.China,South Korea and Thailand.Barker et al. (1997)for the first time documented Nippononaia from Europe,i.e.southern England,and Delvene and Munt(2017)reported the genus also from Spain.
