【摘要】：随着经济全球化的发展,中国同阿拉伯国家交往日益密切,阿拉伯在华留学生的数量显著增加。因此,关于阿拉伯留学生个人以及中国高校而言,跨文化适应的探讨都具有重要意义。本文以Ward等人的社会文化适应及心理适应理论以及Gudykunst的个人沟通和人际沟通为理论基础,借助网站及微信等方式发放问卷并做后期采访,旨在找出阿拉伯留学生在学业适应方面遇到的困难,探索学术适应与社会文化适应和心理适应的关系,以及跨文化适应的作用因素。探讨发现阿拉伯留学生学术适应较好,但在理解老师讲课内容及选择课程方面困难较大;其社会文化适应情况一般,主要困难体现在饮食及斋禁期间保持往常课业作息;阿拉伯留学生心理适应情况总体较好,无明显抑郁,但其在某些方面遇到较大的心理适应问题,如:感到孤独、思乡、失眠。文章表明阿拉伯在华留学生所遇到的跨文化适应问题是由其学术追求、人际关系、沟通方式及宗教信仰造成的,同时学校的支持不足及缺乏跨文化培训也是重要原因。此外,本文发现学术适应与社会文化适应及心理适应显著正相关。因此,帮助阿拉伯留学生提高社会文化适应及心理适应,有助于加强其学术适应,顺利完成学业。由于阿拉伯留学生有着独特的生活习惯及宗教信仰,因此中国高校应该加强对阿拉伯留学生的社会支持,并开展跨文化培训课程,以帮助其适应中国校园生活,从而推动留学生教育的发展。
