At present, Japanese major teaching is beyond optimism. While Japanese major education has paid more attention to Japanese communicative competence, the attention is mainly fixed on everyday language, spoken drills and exercises. Thus, intercultural communicative competence by using Japanese hasn't been improved. The negligence for the cultivation of non--verbal communicative competence is a main factor, so the cultivation of non--verbal communicative competence for Japanese majors is urgent.
