Abstract
Oliver Twist is one of Charles Dickens’ master works of his early time, and this work was remade by many famous directors. Among them, the movie remade by British director David Lean was universally acknowledged as the most successful one. This paper takes David Lean’s copying as the study object, aiming at analyzing the beauty of human nature representing in the movie Oliver Twist.
The movie reserved the content of Dickens’ work at maximum, saying to explore the beauty of human nature. It is easy to find out that many of Dickens’ works is proceeded from exploring human nature, such as Oliver Twist, David Copperfield and A Tale of Two Cities.
This paper is divided into four parts. Firstly, this paper has a brief introduction to the movie Oliver Twist and its’ authorship Charles Dickens. Secondly, this paper analyzes the main character Oliver Twist and Nancy, exploring their kindness, purity and courage under such a society filled with darkness and corruption. Thirdly, this paper probes into the darkness of the background, and further highlights the beauty of human nature representing in this movie. Finally, this paper associates with the modern society, exploring the practical significance of Oliver Twist, saying to warn people never to lose the beauty of human nature.

摘 要
《雾都孤儿》是英国著名作家查尔斯•狄更斯的一部经典代表作。这部著作先后被许多知名导演翻拍为电影。其中，英国导演大卫.里恩在1948年翻拍版本是全球公认最为经典版本。本文以大卫•里恩版著作作为探讨范例，通过对其执导的著作《雾都孤儿》的解读，旨在浅析人性之美在电影《雾都孤儿》中的体现。
电影《雾都孤儿》最大限度的保留了狄更斯著作的中心内容，即是对人性之美的探寻。我们不难发现狄更斯许多著作都是从人性出发，比如《雾都孤儿》、《大卫.科普菲尔》、《双城记》等许多知名著作。
本文分为四个部分。首先，本文简要介绍了电影《雾都孤儿》的主要内容和它的原创作者查尔斯•狄更斯。其次，本文略论了电影主人公奥利佛.退斯特以及南希特的人物特点，对两位电影中的主要人物在黑暗、腐败的社会背景下展现出的善良、纯真以及勇敢的人物特性加以略论，进而彰显其人性之美。在第三部分本文对当时黑暗的背景环境加以略论，英语论文题目，进一步彰显出电影中人物表现出的人性之美。最后，本文关系当时社会状况，略论了电影《雾都孤儿》的现实意义，警醒世人勿失人性之美。
