摘 要：
当今，社会迅猛发展，全球化已经成为当今世界发展的主流。在跨文化交际中，如果我们忽略礼貌准则及礼貌用语，我们就不能正确理解他人，容易产生误解，甚至会导致交际不能继续进行。言语的礼貌是维持社会和平稳定的一个重要手段，合适的礼貌用语可以使得交际流畅的进行。因此，为了使交流能够畅通无阻，避免产生误会，或者不必要的矛盾，我们需要理解谈话对方的价值观，思维方式，社会因素以及谈话时候的语境。本文对中英礼貌准则及礼貌用语进行了深入研讨与对比探讨。通过比较中英用语中称谓语，英语论文题目，问候语等的不同表达方式，英语论文，总结了中英文使用者对邀请，赞赏和隐私问题的不同看法与反应，并进一步略论了造成异同的原因以及中英文使用者的交流策略。

Abstract:
With the rapid development of society, globalization is the mainstream of world development in the cross-cultural communication. If someone is ignorant of the different systems of polite principles and polite language, he or she is unable to have a good understanding of the other and can’t carry on communication further. Generally speaking, politeness has its binding effects on every member of the society, which plays and facilitates social interactions. Linguistic politeness is a vehicle for the maintenance of social equilibrium, so the appropriate use of politeness forms will make communication successful. Therefore, to facilitate cross-cultural communication, we need to understand the cultural values, patterns of thought, social factors and context. This paper is aimed to study polite principles and polite language of Chinese and English separately. Furthermore, the author compares different forms of addressing and greetings in Chinese with those in English. Finally, the causes of the differences are analyzed and a few ways to tackle the problems that may rise in cross-cultural communication are cited.
