二十世纪五十年代，电视脱口秀第一次出现在美国，作为会话的一种特殊形式，它已从雏形开始经历着巨大的转变；现如今，电视脱口秀已在世界广泛播出，在电视节目中举足轻重。
众所周知，欧普拉.温芙瑞因其一档以其命名的欧普拉.温芙瑞脱口秀而举世闻名，这档脱口秀风靡全美国，从1986年始到2017年走过了25个春秋。它的制作以及它的名字使得这档脱口秀在美国电视历史上收视率一直遥遥领先。

Abstract:
TV Talk Show first appeared in America in 1950s. It has seen great development as a special genre of conversation since it first appeared. Nowadays TV talk shows have been widely broadcast all over the world and have accounted for a large proportion of the TV programs.
Oprah Winfrey, as we all know, is a very famous host hosting a talk show named Oprah Winfrey show. The show is an American syndicated talk show that had run nationally for 25 seasons from 1986 to 2017. Produced and hosted by its name, Oprah Winfrey, it remains the highest-rated talk show in America television history.
Even though Oprah Winfrey Show has come to its end, it did walk a truly long journey as a marathon. The author of this paper intends to explain what accounts for Oprah Winfrey show’s enduring appeal in terms of turn-taking rules from cooperative principle perspective. This thesis selected five issues from the Oprah Winfrey show as its study data and quantitative method will be included in analyzing the turning-taking features of her show.
