“Pirates” this phenomenon started with the emergence of the ancient navigation. In Chinese history, the earliest piracy can be traced back to Xia and Shang period when Dongyi people went to sea to escape the war. Until Yongchu period of the Eastern Han Dynasty, Zhang Bolu rose in revolt against the official which declared that pirates formally ascended the stage of history. In the later dynasties, piracy intensified, culminating in the late Ming Dynasty.
