摘 要
爱情一直是世界上永恒的主题。恋爱中的人们也是幸福的。以前,异地相隔的恋人们用书信传递对对方的相思爱慕之情,而现在,英语论文,高科技使这一过程变得更快更便捷。手机通讯就是恋人之间的媒介。有些缠绵的情话羞于说出口的,通过幽默的短信,不仅意思传达到了,英语毕业论文,而且还更容易让对方欣然接受。不管在中国,还是在西方国家,恋人们从开始到修成正果,无论历时多久,无非经历了三个过程:恋爱初期,热恋期和求婚承诺期。在每一个时期,感情不一样,发的短信也不一样。这篇论文将中西方恋人的幽默短信归类为三个阶段,并对每个阶段短信的内容、意义和表达方式进行略论比较,在浅究中西文化异同的同时,对一些现有的跨文化交际理论进行论证。由此,总结出中西表达方式异同的关键所在,旨在为跨文化交际提供一些参考。

Abstract
Love has always been the eternal theme in the world. People in love are happy. Previously, lovers in different places express their yearning and fancy to each other with writing letters. While now, technology has made the process faster and more convenient. Mobile communication becomes a medium between lovers. It's shy of someone to say the lingering love words. However, humorous short messages not only convey the meaning, but also more likely to be accepted by the one. No matter in China or in Western countries, from falling in love to getting married, whether how long it is, the process can be divided into three parts: the initial period, the passionate period and the happy ending period. In each period, with different feelings, lovers send different short messages. This thesis has humourous short messages between lovers in China and western countries classified into three stages, and make a analysis and comparison on their contents, meanings and expressions. Not only study the different cultures in China and western countries, but also demonstrate some existing cross-cultural communication theories. As a result, to sum up the key reasons for differences between Chinese and Western expressions, aimming to provide some references for cross-cultural communication.

Chapter 1 Introduction
Short message is message transmitted among cell phones. And nowadays there are mainly three kinds of short message agreements in the world. They are: SMS (Short Message Service), EMS (Enhanced Message Service) and MMS (Multimedia Message Service). SMS in the earliest and now the most popular short message service. On May 17th, 1992, GS network of British Walphone Company sent the first short message to mobile phone through PC. From then on, short message as a new valued-added business began to spread all over the world. The appearance of SMS has a great influence on people's communication. Therefore, more and more scholars begin to do researches on it. Most of the researches on short messages are done with a linguistic approach, others are about the SMS language's influence on college writing. I am very interested in humorous short messages. In my opinion, it can reflect people's language habits, while those habits are decided by their culture, so it is a new try, not only for me, but also for researches on this aspect. That is my motivity.
