Abstract
The traditional view of metaphor is that it is just a literary matter adopted in poetries. Lakoff and Johnson state that metaphor is ubiquitous in people’s daily life, which not only exists in languages, but also in thought and action. With the development of current economy, a great number of new economic metaphors are flooding in economic terms. The research of conceptual metaphor is considered as an important aspect in studies of metaphor. Vast majority of the studies focus only on the development of metaphors, however, few of them have undertaken the combination of journey metaphor and economic reports. On the basis of the existent theories of conceptual metaphor，英语论文题目，this paper will explore the employment of journey metaphor in economic reports. In order to find out the importance of JOURNEY for economic-reports-readers, this paper applies the cross-domain mapping principle to analyze the journey metaphor in economic reports with some examples. The English and Chinese samples are collected from news media, including China Daily, Wall Street Journal, The Economics and RENMINRIBAO. The author firmly believes that the analysis of the journey metaphor in economic reports will help the readers improve the ability to understand metaphors, especially journey metaphor in economic reports.

摘 要
传统的隐喻观认为，隐喻是一种主要应用在诗歌中的语言现象。莱考夫和约翰逊指出隐喻无处不在，它不仅存在于言语中，更存在于人们的思想和行为中。随着现代经济的迅猛发展，英汉经济术语中的隐喻应用越来越频繁。在当今对于隐喻的探讨中，概念隐喻是最为人们接受也是最重要的。然而，大部分的探讨仅仅专注于隐喻的发展历程，鲜少有人专门探讨旅程隐喻在经济报道中的实际应用。本文在已有的概念隐喻相关的理论基础上，进一步探究了旅程隐喻在经济报道中的实际应用。为了让读者进一步认识旅途隐喻的重要性，本文应用了映射原理并结合例句来略论经济报道中的旅途隐喻。文中的例子主要来源于《中国日报》、《华尔街日报》、《经济学人》以及《人民日报》。作者深信通过对经济报道中旅途隐喻的略论，英语论文范文，读者们能够提升对旅途隐喻的了解，并且能够提高阅读经济新闻的能力。

1 Introduction
With the increasing development of the world, the world enter into an era of information, featured with computer and Internet. As a result, economic report gradually becomes a popular way for people to obtain economic information. However, because of the abstraction and complexity of economic reports, not all of the people can completely understand them well. Metaphorical expression is a compelling choice for people to better understand economic reports. The prevalent employment of metaphors in economic reports shows people the significance of metaphorical expression.
