摘要
语言作为人类社会的一个重要组成部分,集中反映了其所属民族的生产生活、社会习俗、宗教信仰和价值观念,是该民族文化的组成部分和载体。学习一种语言,其实质就是在学习使用这门语言的民族的文化才是语言学习的根本意义所在。
每门语言都有大量的习语,没有习语的语言是不可想象的。习语是语言中文化内涵积淀最深厚的部分,集中了语言和语言使用者的历史和文化,英语论文网站,是语言的精华,是达到语言学习的根本意义所在。英汉两种语言都有着悠久的历史和丰富的习语,对语言学习者来说,探索它们的来源和比较它们所折射的文化,有助于了解英汉语言文化价值观念体系,有助于我们更深刻的理解英汉习语,英语论文,更加有助于我们的双语学习。本文从环境、历史、宗教等多个角度略论了英汉习语所存在的异同。

ABSTRACT
Language, an important part of human society, which obviously represents productive forces, customs, religious beliefs as well as value principles of humans life. It is the carrier of its culture. Everything both in our material world and spirit world can be expressed by language.
Each language has a plenty of idioms, and we could not imagine what the language will be like without idioms. Idiom, as the fundamental part of its culture essence, embodies the history and culture of its users’, which is exactly what we should note when we learn a language. China is a multiethnic country with a long history and a splendid culture as well as Britain, so their languages have abundant of idioms. For language learners, it is very helpful to learn the origin of English and Chinese idioms and make a comparison between the cultural differences reflected by the idioms. To analyze the differences between English idioms and Chinese idioms from the cultural perspective which includes environment, history, religion and so on can help us understand idioms better and language learning.

1. Introduction
This chapter consists of four parts. In the first part, the author is going to present the background in which the present study is conducted. The second part is devoted to the definition of idiom and its characteristics. In the third part, the author will tell the purpose of conducting such a research. And finally the organization of the present paper is presented in the fouth part.
1.1 Background
As we all know, this study has been hot for a long time and many scholars chose this issue as their research beginning so that there are many valuable fruits as our reference.
