Abstract: In the contemporary society, education plays a vital role in a country’s future. Family education is the elementary education for a person. Before receiving school education, people firstly receive family education, so family education in a child’s growth is quite important. However, because of the different environment between China and America, there are many differences between Chinese and American family education. This dissertation mainly analyzes the differences of family education between China and America from concepts, aims, methods and outcomes. Through the contrastive analysis, we can fully understand the significance of family education and get some thinking from the differences. In addition, this dissertation also illustrates some reasons of these differences from economical forms, social conditions and cultural traditions. Besides, the author comes up with some suggestions about our family education. What’s more, through some examples and comparative analysis, the author makes some summaries of family education between China and America. It encourages us to get some inspirations from these differences. Through this dissertation, the author hopes we can find out some disadvantages of our family education and make some effective measures to perfect our country’s family education. |
