Abstract
For one century, as a result of the growth of world population, social development, wars and the social unrest, together with the gradually expanded scale and intensity of human intervention in nature, especially in the late 20th century, the global environment having been destructed and polluted, the ecological crisis is getting worse. Greenhouse effect , atmospheric ozone depletion, acid rain pollution, the proliferation of toxic chemicals , population explosion, soil erosion, deforestation, the expansion of land desertification , water resources pollution, biodiversity reduction have become the top ten global environmental problems threatening human survival and development .
Faced with the global environmental pollution and the widespread ecological damage, the traditional ecology values is no longer adapted to the demand of the current international society development. The traditional ecological values has lead to many environmental and ecological problems. In order to improve ecological environment, reduce environmental pollution and ecological damage, and help ecological environment develop in a continual, healthy and steady way, low-carbon concept, environmental protection concept, energy saving and emission reduction concept as well as sustainable development concept and so on concepts were put forward after people’s several centuries of exploration. Thus the modern ecological values forms gradually. By emphasizing the interests of both humanity and all organisms in natural systems, the modern ecological values aims to form a whole organic system and develop harmoniously with nature. It changes people’s traditional ideas and concepts and solves problems of the ecological environment
Through the description and introduction of low-carbon concept and ecological values, we aim to find the influence of low-carbon concept on people’s thoughts, behaviors and life styles, and to analyze the influences on the process of transition from traditional ecology values to the modern ecology values. The thesis will carry out the analysis from above aspects, together with the driving forces of this phenomenon and causes and results of this phenomenon to analyze the influences.
